2nd Place as a Team out of 30! 2 Champions! 126 lb Kaden Guymon and 150 lb Brenden Smith! 8 total placers… Our 2 champions plus 120 lb Preston Lang 6th place, 126 lb Jonathan Linton 6th, 132 lb Cason Smith 4th, 190 lb Phoenix Oliver 4th, 215 lb Beau Miller 3rd, and 285 lb Tag Gubler 3rd! In addition to taking 2nd, Snow Canyon Boys Varsity had the 3rd Most Pins in the Least Amount of Time! Snow Canyon Boys Varsity had the 2nd highest Total Match Points (307)! Out of the 297 individual wrestlers competing over the weekend in the varsity tournament, Beau Miller ranked 16th for Most Pins in Least Amount of Time with 3 in 6:45! Kaden Guymon was right behind him at 17, and Brooks Esplin at 20! Out of 297 individual wrestlers competing over the weekend in the varsity tournament, Cason Smith ranked 11th for Most Tech Falls in Least Amount of Time with 1 in 5:25! Kaden Guymon had the 21st fastest Pin in the tournament with 0:41, and Teagen Cheetham 33rd with a Pin in 0:51! Kaden Guymon was 3rd out of 297 for Most Team Points with 35.0, and Brenden Smith was 9th with 33.0! Cason Smith was 6th out of 297 for Most Single Match Points with 18! Preston Lang finished 4th out of 297 for Most Total Match Points with 51, and Cason Smith was 10th with 42! Kolter Stuart ranked 23 out of 348 for Most Pins in Least Amount of Time with 4 in 9:11, Christian Sumner was 40th out of 348 with 3 in 4:07, Andrew Castro was 46th with 3 in 4:28, Zachary Chandler 83rd with 3 in 9:04, and Ethan Allred was 95th out of 348 for Most Pin in Least Amount of Time with 2 in 1:59! Christian Sumner was 82 out of 348 in the JV tournament for Fastest fall with a Pin in 0:44, and Ethan Allred was 92nd with a Pin in 0:47! Kolter Stuart finished 7th out of 348 with Most Team Points with 61.0, Clark Weakley was 32nd with 47.0, and Andrew Castro 44th out of 348 with 41.0! Teams from multiple neighboring states, along with Utah power-house programs make the trek to St. George to compete. It's a traditional, double-elimination, format and it's a BATTLE to make it to the medal's stand. We anticipate you'll see some Green and Gold there when the dust settles.
Here are the details. Pay close attention as there are a number of unique situations for this tournament: NOTE: There is not a girl's division at the Desert Storm Invitational. Friday, December 16 7:30 AM - (DO NOTE BE LATE) Home weigh-in (Scratch +2 pounds - 108, 115, etc.) in the Snow Canyon Wrestling Room (please arrive 5-10 minutes early). Only wrestlers that are competing Friday and Saturday need to show up early for weigh-ins (injured wrestlers no, Girls team no, etc.) 12:30 PM - (DO NOT BE LATE) Arrive at the Snow Canyon wrestling room to check-in and begin our team warm-up. We will warm up as a team in our own wrestling room BEFORE riding the bus to Dixie High. 1:30 PM - Bus Leaves for Dixie High School. 2:00 PM - Wrestling Begins (or as close to 2PM as possible for teams that are late because of transportation issues). They have a target end time on Friday of 10:00 PM, but it could go even later depending on various factors. (Some will remember when the automatic timer turned of the gym lights and matches were wrestled under the glow of a few hundreds cell phone lights.) Saturday Dec 17 6:15 AM - Check in at Snow Canyon Wrestling Room (DO NOT BE LATE) 6:30 AM - Bus departs for Dixie High School (DO NOT BE LATE) 7:00 AM - Weigh-in (scratch +2 108, 115, etc) 9:00 AM - Wrestling begins. The Winter Classic in Nephi, Utah, has traditionally been another great tournament to sharpen our skills. We expect nothing less this year.
There's no better way to start off our Region 10 duals than with cross-town rival Crimson Cliffs. Still the newest school in the school district, the Mustangs are going to want to see how our teams match up. With nine hard-fought duals under our belts already, we think we'll be ready for the challenge. We invite all of Warrior Nation to come and help us keep the streak alive.

There's really no better place to do that than at the Syracuse Shuffle. We've been going to Syracuse for years because it's one of the toughest dual tournaments available and we're ready for tough.
The varsity will wrestle multiple duals against teams from all around the state (including Mountain Crest). The JV and the girls will be placed in round robin brackets. The lower half of the JV weights will wrestle on Friday and the upper half and girls will wrestle on Saturday.
