After an excited dual against Pine Valley on Wednesday with a 48 to 30 victory, the team turns it's sights to the Desert Storm Classic wrestling tournament at Dixie High School (350 E 700 S, St George, UT 84770). This outing is a true double elimination-style tourney similar to what we'll see at super-regionals and the state tournament. It's great training ground. A victory here is a significant accomplishment.
Simultaneously, there will be a JV and Extra Tournament going on at Dixie Middle School (929 S 100 E, St George, UT 84770. The JV format will be a round robin or scramble feeding into a tournament format. Here's the upcoming schedule: Friday, December 16 12:30 PM - Bus leaves Snow Canyon High School (Do NOT Be Late) 3:00 PM - Wrestling Begins After last match - Weigh-ins for Saturday Saturday, December 17 6:30 AM - Bus leaves Snow Canyon High School (Do NOT Be Late) 9:00 AM - Wrestling Begins The tournament will run straight through until finals. There will be no breaks. Awards are given after finals matches.

Warriors Looking to Push the Competition at Thunder Holiday Duals
The Warriors have been working hard in the room this week after a very successful showing at the Syracuse Scuffle last week. The Thunder Holiday Duels will also be Dual Team format with the Varsity getting 8 to 10 matches over the weekend. JV wrestlers will compete in round robin tourneys, so there will be plenty of wrestling to go around. Check out the details about this week's action: Name: Thunder Holiday Duals Dates: Friday, December 9 & Saturday, December 10 Location: Desert Hills High School, 828 Desert Hills Dr E, St George, UT 84790 Schedule: Friday, December 9 Noon - Bus leaves Snow Canyon High School for Desert Hills High School (DO NOT BE LATE) 1:00 PM - Weigh-ins (Scratch plus two pounds, i.e. 106 = 108, 113 = 115, etc.) 3:00 PM - Wrestling Begins Saturday, December 10 6:30 AM - Bus leaves Snow Canyon High School for Desert Hills High School (DO NOT BE LATE) 7:00 AM - Weigh-ins (Scratch plus two pounds, i.e. 106 = 108, 113 = 115, etc.) 9:00 AM - Wrestling Begins Sample Packing List: (Returning home each night - No Hotel) __ Wear Team Apparel as instructed by Team Captains __ Wrestling Bag __ Warm-ups (Hoodie & bottoms) __ Singlets (both if you have 2) __ Head Gear __ Wrestling Shoes __ Running shoes or other comfortable shoes for traveling __ 2 pairs of socks for Wrestling (fresh pair for each day) __ 2 pairs of Underwear or compression shorts for wrestling each day __ Food in a small cooler (protein shakes, protein bars, bread, peanut butter, honey, jam/jelly, fruit, jerky, granola bars, healthy snacks). You are responsible for your own food. We leave right after lunch on Friday so you will have already eaten or packed lunch. Bring food for dinner in a cooler, or cash to buy concessions (not recommended since it's mostly pizza, hot dogs, etc.), or arrange to have someone bring you dinner.
