It will be set up as a 8-12 man scramble for each weight class. There will be a separate finals round. The whole tournament will be live streamed on ksl live. There will be concessions running throughout the day. Milford Invitational ticket purchasing/entry process Because of COVID protocols to ensure proper capacity requirements, and to assist in knowing who was at our school events only parents will be able to attend: Step 1: To be admitted to Milford High School Wrestling Invitational, you will need to go online and purchase your tickets for PARENTS, and PARENTS only. We are unable to accommodate anyone besides parents at this time. The link is https://sites.google.com/beaver.k12.ut.us/beaver-county-school-district/mhs?authuser=0 (Scroll down to Milford Invitational and click on that link) Step 2: You will show proof of purchase at the door to the gate worker (either printed receipt or the receipt on an electronic device). Step 3:You will then give the name of your wrestler and what school they wrestle for so the ticket taker can write your name down next to that wrestler. Step 4: At that point you will be given wristbands by the ticket takers which will allow you to enter and re-enter as needed. If any other “family or friend” tries to use your wrestler’s name before you, then you will not be admitted. We are allowing only PARENTS in. If there is a split family situation, we will admit parents and step parents. This will be done on the honor system.

Well, we've made it to another meet and its one of our favorites. The Desert Storm Invitational is a straight-forward, double elimination grind of a tournament. It's a perfect way to see how we stack up against some of the best wrestlers in the western United States. As with so many things this year, COVID will make it look a bit different, but we're excited and ready to give it our best.
We weren't sure if we'd even be able to get here. And, truth be told, we're just happy to take it day by day. With everything going on in the world, we won't take anything for granted. After a delay to the start of the season, the Juab Winter Classic is first on our list. It's a dual tournament format. We like to go to this one because we get some a look at some teams that we don't see anywhere else except at state. Let's GO! FRIDAY, December 11 5:30 AM - Arrive at school, COVID/Health/Temperature checks (Same as we do for practice) 6:00 AM - Bus leaves Snow Canyon High School (DO NOT BE LATE) 10:00 AM - Weigh-ins (Two pound allowance - 108, 115, etc.) JV will weigh in at Junior High 11:00 AM - Coach's meeting 12:00 PM - Wrestling begins (The varsity tournament will be 6 rounds, 5 matches, 1 bye) With COVID restrictions, ONLY parents are allowed in the gym. We're going to do our best to provide updates on our social media accounts for each match. Masks MUST be worn if you are not actively wrestling. Next Meet: Thursday, December 17 with a region dual at Cedar City. |
