DESERT STORM INVITATIONAL

Well, we've made it to another meet and its one of our favorites. The Desert Storm Invitational is a straight-forward, double elimination grind of a tournament. It's a perfect way to see how we stack up against some of the best wrestlers in the western United States. As with so many things this year, COVID will make it look a bit different, but we're excited and ready to give it our best.

FRIDAY, DECEMBER 18 - JV AND EXTRAS ONLY
7:30 AM - Weigh-ins at Snow Canyon High School Team Room (2 lb allowance, 106=108, 113=115, etc)
12:45 PM - Meet in wrestling room for Health/Temperature checks
1:15 PM - Bus leaves Snow Canyon High School (DO NOT BE LATE)
Skin checks as soon as we arrive
2:00 PM - Wrestling is scheduled to start if everything is ready

The JV and Extras tournament will be a scramble/ round robin format. Hopefully all the wrestlers will get up to five matches. There will be awards for the top 4 in each weight class.


SATURDAY, DECEMBER 19 - VARSITY 
6:00 AM - Meet in wrestling room for Health/Temperature checks
6:30 AM - Bus leaves Snow Canyon High School (DO NOT BE LATE)
7:00 AM - Weigh-in at Dixie High School (2 lb allowance, 106=108, 113=115, etc)
9:00 AM - Wrestling begins

Wrestling will go straight through with awards for the top six being awarded as soon as competition is over.

Spectators will be allowed, but they must have tickets AND wear a face covering since this is an indoor event. Tickets are good for the entire day.  Spectators will need only one ticket per person. Parents only.  There will be NO STUDENT SECTION. They are not offering student tickets at this time.

Tickets are $8, and spectators must go online to purchase them. There is also a convenience fee on the online ticketing system.  Spectators will need to obtain tickets for EACH day of the tournament by purchasing them on dixiehighflyers.com and click on Tickets. Tickets are good for the entire day.

To purchase tickets – Go to our website dixiehighflyers.com and click on Tickets. You may have to create an account if you have not already done so.  Spectators enter the corresponding code for your school. Our code is:

Click on Get Tickets for Wrestling.  Then click the blue link at the bottom of the page that says “Have a passcode?”  Enter the code here.

This code will let spectators access the tickets. Families only get 2 tickets per athlete. They should download the PDFs of each ticket. Spectators without a ticket or spectators without a mask will be asked to leave.  All UHSAA passes will be accepted at the door (no ticket required) .
