STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS

WOW! Here we are. All the early morning open-mats, late afternoon practices, extra conditioning, long bus rides and sacrifice, determination and heart have led us to this moment. It's STATE! We have 19 young men and two young women who will give everything they have to put themselves in the position to step up onto that podium that says "I am one of the best of the best!" And solidly behind each of these Warriors is a wall of parents, family, coaches, practice partners and teammates that helped get them here and will be there supporting, regardless of the outcome. WE ARE WARRIORS!

Thursday, February 16

GO TO CLASS! TRAVEL DAYS ARE CONSIDERED COMPETITION DAYS WITH REQUIRED ATTENDANCE AT CLASS. IF A WRESTLER MISSES FOR ANY REASON, SCHOOL ADMINISTRATION WILL BE FORCED TO FIND THEM INELIGIBLE AND THAT WRESTLER'S SEASON IS OVER*!!!

*This has happened before to a senior that was ranked to place in state. PLEASE do not test this policy! School gets out at regular time on Thursday. There will be NO PRACTICE in the wrestling room after school. Do whatever needs to be done to prepare for a successful weekend. 

4:15 PM - Check in (DO NOT BE LATE)
4:30 PM - Bus Departs Snow Canyon High School for Richfield
We will stop in Beaver (approx. 6:30 PM) along the way to get in a short workout in their wrestling room like we have done at other overnight trips this year.

Friday, February 17

7:00 AM - Team Entry Doors Open
8:00 AM - Weigh-in and Skin Checks (Growth Allowance - 108, 115, etc.)
8:30 AM - Coach's Meeting
10:00 AM - 1:00 PM - Round #1 Championships
1:00 PM - Break
1:15 PM - 3:45 PM - Round #2 Championship - Quarterfinals & Consolation #1
3:45 PM - Break
4:00 PM - 5:45 PM - Round #3 Consolation Round #2

Saturday, February 18

7:45 AM - Team Entry Doors Open
​9:00 AM - Weigh-ins and Skin Checks (Growth Allowance plus 1 pound - 109, 116, etc.)
10:00 AM - 12:30 PM - Round #4 Championships Semi-finals, Consolation Quarter-finals
12:30 PM - Break
12:45 PM - 2:45 PM - Round #5 Consolation - Semifinals
2:45 PM - 3:45 PM - Round #5 Consolation - Finals
3:45 PM - Break
4:15 PM - Parade of Champions & National Anthem
4:30 PM - 6:30 PM - Championship Finals
6:30 PM - Individual & Team Awards

The boys and girls tournaments will run simultaneously at the Sevier Valley Center (800 W. 200 S, Richfield, UT 84701). Admission for fans and family will be $10 per day and must be purchased online here: https://uhsaa.org/tournaments/​.
