The Rumble is one of the toughest and biggest tournaments in the Western United States, and there's something for everyone, boys and girls varsity along with the JV and Extras. Here are the details: For the Boys team, Kaden Guymon will be the only competitor this year while the rest of the team competes at the Iron Town Duals at Cedar High. Kaden will head up Thursday evening right after the Dixie Dual. The Girls team plans to leave early Friday morning. Those traveling with the Girls team should confirm with Coach Trent Wilson and reach out to him with any specific questions. Cedar High School 703 W 600 S Cedar City, UT 84720 This weekend will bring LOTS of wrestling for both the Boys Varsity and JV at the perennial favorite Iron Town Duals. In the past it has been a badge of honor to earn an "Undefeated" t-shirt from two days of solid wrestling. T-shirt or otherwise, getting out of this tournament unscathed is truly an accomplishment. Here are all the details for the Warrior Nation who want to make the short jaunt to Cedar City to support. Varsity – Dual Team format 8-10 matches per wrestler JV - Round Robin 5-6 matches per wrestler Friday, January 10, 2025 11:10 AM - All wrestlers excused from school (For 10th-12th graders, 11:10AM is when 3rd period ends; so you will only miss 4th period class. The brightest stars from across the state will toe the line at the UCCU Center on the Campus of UVU. The Warriors are sending not 1, but 3 wrestlers. Our Boys team is sending Kaden Guymon, and our Girls team will be represented by Nia Hagler and Jeanine Field. All of the action takes place on Wednesday, January 8, 2025. Date: Wednesday, January 8, 2025 Schedule of events: 3:45pm: High School Wrestlers check in (see below for location) 4:15pm: weigh ins (northwest locker room, we will have signs) 4:15pm: Wrestler’s Dinner (we will start serving as soon as the first person is done weighing in) 5:30pm: Lineup for All Star introductions 5:45pm: Introductions of High School wrestlers & matches Free admission is given to the athlete and 1 coach ONLY, all others can purchase admission tickets for $10. Location: UCCU Center on UVU Campus Admission is $10 per person. As in the past, those 4 and under will be allowed in free. We appreciate your support as this is a major fundraiser for the UVU Wrestling team with 100% of the proceeds going to them. It is also a unique opportunity for family and friends to come watch some top notch high school wrestling. 100% of the entrance fee goes towards the costs of the wrestler which is the plaque, gear and meal. Registration will begin at 3:45pm in the UCCU Center on the UVU Campus. There will be a registration table set up in the lobby by ticket windows (West side of the Arena). At the registration you will receive your athlete's meal pass and head coach's free admission pass. Weigh-ins will take place at 4:15pm. Wrestlers will get the standard after Christmas two pound growth allowance, plus an additional pound due to wrestlers that have competition the day before (Boys and Girls) – for example if you wrestle 106 you need to make 109 lbs. Then there will be a dinner for the wrestler which will take place from 4:15pm to 5:00pm and will be held in the area behind the bleachers on the East side of the Event Center. The introductions of the high school All-Star athletes will start at 5:45pm with wrestling beginning immediately after completion of introductions. A recap/view of the items for the All-Stars Dual. 1. The event will stream live on www.trackwrestling.com. You must have a FloWrestling membership to watch the event via the stream. We encourage everyone to come in person to support this event as it is a fundraiser for UVU. Reminder that admissions are $10 per person with anyone 4 and under being free. 2. Weigh-ins will start promptly at 4:15pm. Wrestlers will get the 3 pound growth allowance so 106 is 109 etc. 3. The Utah Winter Classic in the Sevier Valley Center in Richfield, Utah is an individual bracket tournament that promises to provide high quality wrestling.

Teams from multiple neighboring states, along with Utah power-house programs make the trek to St. George to compete. It's a traditional double-elimination format and it's a BATTLE to make it to the medal podium. We anticipate you'll see some Green and Gold there when the dust settles.
Here are the details. Pay close attention as there are a number of unique situations for this tournament: Tournament Format: Varsity – Double elimination bracket tournament placing top six JV Day 1 – Bracket tournament, placing the top four wrestlers. JV Day 2 – Bracket tournament continued; Round Robin bracket for JV wrestlers eliminated on Day 1. Friday December 20, 2024 7:30 AM - (DO NOT BE LATE) Home weigh-in (Scratch +2 pounds - 108, 115, etc.) in the Snow Canyon Wrestling Room (please arrive 5-10 minutes early). Only wrestlers that are competing Friday and Saturday need to show up early for weigh-ins. 12:15 PM - Arrive at the Snow Canyon wrestling room to check-in. 10th-12th grade wrestlers get out of school at 12:10 PM Friday, so just head straight to the wrestling room after school. 9th grade wrestlers will be excused from school at 12:05 PM and will need to hustle up to the high school wrestling room. 12:30 PM - Bus Leaves for Dixie High School. 1:30 PM - Coaches Meeting 2:00 PM - Wrestling Begins (or as close to 2PM as possible for teams that are late because of transportation issues). They have a target end time on Friday of 10:00 PM, but it could go even later depending on various factors. Saturday December 21, 2024 7:15 AM - Check in at Snow Canyon Wrestling Room (DO NOT BE LATE) 7:30 AM - Bus departs for Dixie High School 8:00 AM - Weigh-in (scratch +2 108, 115, etc) 9:30 AM - Wrestling begins Finals may begin anytime between 4:00 - 6:00 PM and usually take about 2 hours. The awards ceremony will immediately follow the finals. Plan to be done and back at Snow Canyon anytime between 6:30 - 8:00 PM They will be streaming the varsity tournament in the main gym on their youtube channel for any parents or fans not able to attend at https://www.youtube.com/@dixiehightv1267 They will be offering full concessions for all wrestlers, fans and attendees. The JV tournament will be a double elimination bracket tournament. They will have a second round robin tournament on Saturday for all JV wrestlers that were eliminated on Friday. This should allow for a completion of the JV tournament and get those JV wrestlers matches that were eliminated on Friday. This should hopefully get those JV wrestlers 6 to 7 matches for the weekend. While our Boys Varsity team is competing at the Juab Winter Classic, our Boys JV and extras are heading to the Desert Hills Days of Thunder JV Tournament. We will be competing in a round robin tournament at the middle school with all JV teams. JV and extras wrestlers should expect to get 5-7 matches per wrestler over 2 days with this Round Robin format. The Desert Hills Middle School is located next to the high school. DECEMBER 13-14, 2024 @ Juab Fieldhouse 802 N 650 E, Nephi UT *Note, we are only taking our Boys Varsity Team to this tournament. The Warriors will hit the road again this weekend, this time for Juab. The Winter Classic in Nephi, Utah, has traditionally been another great tournament to sharpen our skills. We expect nothing less this year. We are only taking our Boys Varsity to this tournament while our Boys JV compete near home at the Days of Thunder Tournament at Desert Hills. The Juab Winter Classic Varsity tournament format is a dual tournament. All wrestling will take place at the Juab Fieldhouse (802 North 650 East, Nephi, UT). Here are the details: Friday, December 13, 2024 5:30 AM - Wrestlers meet in our Wrestling room to check in. (DO NOT BE LATE - and DO NOT park in a teacher’s parking space or a marked senior parking space) 6:00 AM - Bus leaves for Juab High School (DO NOT BE LATE) Planned brief stop at the Maverick in Fillmore for restroom, food, etc. 11:00 AM - Weigh-ins (Scratch plus 2 pounds both days, 108, 115, etc.) 12:00 PM - Coach's Meeting 1:00 PM - Boys wrestling begins. There will be continuous wrestling for 5 rounds with no breaks. 9:00 PM Hotel check-in. Wrestlers and coaches pick up keys/room cards for assigned rooms. If any wrestlers leave the hotel to get food at nearby locations, they must do so as teammates in groups of at least 2. Wrestlers are NOT allowed to get in a vehicle to travel at this time (not even with their parents). We estimate our return arrival time to Snow Canyon High School to be around 9PM. A few things to keep in mind: 1- Boys Varsity will all take place in the same facility, The Juab Fieldhouse (802 North 650 East, Nephi UT) 2- Buses will drop wrestlers off on the south side, roadside so that buses do not have to enter through the high school parking lot. 3-For parents and other spectators, the entrance is on the north side of the building, connected to the High School parking lot. 4- The facility has a lot of space, but not a lot of bleachers. There is a central turf area and the wrestlers are encouraged to bring “camp” chairs and blankets and set up on the tarps over the turf. 5- Parking is going to be a challenge. It's limited and on a first-come, first-served basis. Parents should plan on parking on adjacent streets and walking a bit if the facility parking lot is full.
