Boys Wrestling Utah 4A Division A Tournament 2024 February 2-3, 2024 Green Canyon High School 2960 North Wolfpack Way North Logan, Utah 84341 We have arrived! We are in the post-season. This weekend begins the culmination of a season's worth of sweat, sacrifice and determination. We will travel to Green Canyon High School in North Logan, Utah for our Divisional Championships. Here are all the details you need to know. THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 1, 2024 10:30 AM - Check-In in the wrestling room (DO NOT BE LATE) 11:00 AM - Bus leaves for Divisional Championships (DO NOT BE LATE) 6:30 PM - Arrive in Logan for a light workout (location TBA) 7:00 PM - Seeding meeting at Green Canyon Crest High School 8:00 PM - Check-In at Hotel (wrestlers may get food within walking distance of hotel as long as they are with at least 1 teammate) 10 PM - Back in Hotel 11 PM - Lights Out FRIDAY FEBRUARY 2, 2024 10:50 AM - Bus leaves hotel for Green Canyon High School 12:00 PM - Weigh-ins and Skin Checks (Growth Allowance - 108, 115, etc..) 1:00 PM - Coaches Meeting 2:00 PM - Championship Round 1 3:45 PM - Championship Round 2 & Consolation Round 1 5:30 PM - Dinner Break 6:00 PM - Quarters, Consolation Rounds 2, 3, 4 9:00 PM - Finish 9:30 PM - Bus Arrives back at hotel (wrestlers may get food within walking distance of hotel as long as they are with at least 1 teammate). 10 PM - Back in Hotel 11 PM - Lights Out SATURDAY FEBRUARY 3, 2024 6:50 AM - Bus leaves hotel for Green Canyon High School 8:00 AM - Weigh-ins and Skin Checks (Growth Allowance Plus 1 lb. - 109, 116, etc.) 9:30 AM - Semifinals and Consolation Rounds 5, 6 11:30 AM - 3rd, 5th, 7th, 9th place matches 1:30 PM - Lunch Break 2:30 PM - Championship Finals 4:00 PM - Awards 4:30 PM - Finish 11:30 PM - Estimated Time of Arrival back at Snow Canyon High School *Other items of importance… Team Arrival Bus drop off is on the south side of the school (see map below) and teams should enter at the doors indicated. You can then make your way to the gymnasium, or your team can use the locker room. Other bathrooms are in the commons area. Please tell your boys to use the locker rooms to change, leaving the bathrooms in the commons area open for spectator bathroom use. *Note to bus drivers - Once bus drivers have dropped off athletes, they will proceed to exit the bus drop off area and park in the Eccles Ice Arena Parking Lot south of Green Canyon. After the school day ends at 1:30 pm and student buses have left, bus drivers can move their buses back to the bus drop off area. It would be best to pull up parallel to the curb to allow buses to pull in and out freely.  Team Seating To allow enough room for spectators, we ask that wrestlers store all bags and gear behind the bleachers on the second level of the gym. We ask that you leave the lower north bleachers open for spectators ONLY. Unless athletes are wrestling, they are not allowed in the lower gym. Coaches, if you can please help us with this, it would be appreciated. Spectator Information Streaming Streaming information will be sent out to coaches and athletic directors prior to the Divisional Competition. Parking Green Canyon High School is located at 2960 North Wolfpack Way, North Logan, Utah. When looking for a parking space, refer to the Tournament Guest Parking Map. All spectators are welcome to park in the blue areas. Please keep in mind that school will be in session the first day until 1:30 p.m. We appreciate your patience as we work to clear the building and parking lots at the end of each school day. Also, we have had a huge snowstorm and may still have snow on the ground when you visit our beautiful valley. If you are used to a warmer climate, you may want to plan on warmer clothes, windshield scrapers and extra socks. Spectator Entrance There is only ONE entrance for spectators. It is on the north side of the school. While school is in session, all other open doors are for students ONLY, there are no exceptions. Gate will open an hour before wrestling begins. No basketballs or any other throwing devices will be allowed (footballs, nerf balls, etc).  Ticket Pricing Adults: $10 per day, buy tickets online. Day 1 – Friday https://gchsathletics.hometownticketing.com/embed/event/294 Day 2 – Saturday https://gchsathletics.hometownticketing.com/embed/event/295 Students: $5 per day, ID required, buy at the door (cash or card only) Senior Citizens (55+): $5 per day, buy at the door (cash or card only) *No one will be admitted without a tournament wristband. Spectator Seating All competition will be held on the lower, main floor of the gymnasium. Both balconies will be open for seating as well as the lower north bleachers of the main gym. Athletes are asked not to sit in the lower bleachers to allow enough room for spectators and to avoid traffic. Access to the second level is in the commons area. Concessions There will be multiple food options at the concessions stand for the duration of the tournament, see the menu below. The concession stand is located at the back east side of the commons area, outside the main gym. Concessions will open on Friday at 11:30 am and remain open until the end of the competition day. On Saturday concessions will open at 7:30 am and remain open until finals begin. See menu below. We are heading to the Enterprise Tournament this weekend for our final regular season tournament. This varsity double elimination event is a great tune-up for what's coming post season, and traditionally, we've done very well, even crowning a few champions and taking home the team title along the way. The JVs and Extras will get mat time with a round-robin format.
Here are the details: Friday January 19. 2024 7:30 AM - Weigh-ins in our wrestling room (In addition to the 2 pound growth allowance, there will be an additional 2 pound allowance for both Friday and Saturday. 110, 117, etc.) 12:00 PM - Middle school wrestlers excused from 4th period 12:10 PM - High school classes over for the day. 12:15 PM - Meet in our wrestling room to check in 12:30 PM - Bus Departs from Snow Canyon High School 3:00 PM - Begin wrestling 10:00 PM - Estimated return to Snow Canyon High School Saturday January 20, 2024 6:45 AM - Weigh-ins in our wrestling room (In addition to the 2 pound growth allowance, there will be an additional 2 pound allowance for both Friday and Saturday. 110, 117, etc.) 7:00 AM - Bus Departs from Snow Canyon High School 9:00 AM - Begin wrestling 5:00 PM - Estimated return to Snow Canyon High School Medals will be awarded for the top four placers and team trophies will be awarded for the top two teams. Two outstanding wrestlers will also be recognized. LET'S GO! *Due to the number of teams and wrestlers, there will NOT be a second chance tournament for those wrestlers who lose out of the varsity tournament on the first day. Upcoming: 4A Division A at Green Canyon High School in Logan Feb 2-3, 2024. Whew! This is a BIG week of wrestling with a Home Region 9 dual vs. Cedar High, and the Rockwell Rumble this weekend. The Rumble is one of the toughest and biggest tournaments in the Western United States, and there's something for everyone, boys and girls varsity along with the JV and Extras. Here are the details:

*Of special note, Region 9 Duals are generally on Thursday nights, but this match was moved to Wednesday this week to accommodate for our travel plans for the Rockwell Rumble this weekend. *This will also be "Senior Night" for our Girls Team. Since Cedar does not have travel restrictions, they can get here earlier so we will weigh-in at 4PM and modify other start times as listed below. Canyon View High School 166 W 1925 N Cedar City, UT 84721 This weekend will bring LOTS of wrestling for both the Boys Varsity and JV at the perennial favorite Iron Town Duals. In the past it has been a badge of honor to earn an "Undefeated" t-shirt from two days of solid wrestling. T-shirt or otherwise, getting out of this tournament unscathed is truly an accomplishment. Snow Canyon claims the Team Back-to-Back Champion Title for this tournament from the past two seasons and is looking for a 3rd straight victory. Friday, January 5, 2024 11:10 AM - All wrestlers excused from school (For 10th-12th graders, 11:10AM is when 3rd period ends; so you will only miss 4th period class.
