 It's hard to believe, but the last region dual of the year takes place at Hurricane High on Thursday, February 2. A victory secures three years of undefeated region duals for the Warriors and the region title. The Tigers know it, and will have their claws out, trying to stand in the way.  The boys came home from Enterprise with five golds, one bronze and a third place finish for the team. Now our girls get a shot at the Enterprise Lady Wolves Wrestling tournament. Here are the details:
Saturday, January 29 7:30 AM - Weigh-ins in our Snow Canyon Wrestling Room 7:40 AM - Depart for Enterprise 8:45 AM - Coaches Meeting 9:30 AM - Begin Wrestling The Enterprise Lady Wolves tournament will be a round robin format. The action is scheduled to concluded by 4:00 PM.  Wow. Coming off a huge and emotional victory against Dessert Hills as well as a celebration of our seniors and our legacy, we're riding a wave of energy. We plan to keep it going at the Enterprise Tournament. This varsity double elimination event is a great tune-up for what's coming post season, and traditionally, we've done very well, even crowning a few champions along the way. The JVs and Extras will get mat time with a round-robin format. This weekend is just for the young men, the young women will have their chance in Enterprise next Saturday. Here are the details:

Upcoming: Enterprise Lady Wolves Wrestling Tournament, Saturday, January 28  Don't miss the chance to pay tribute to our SENIORS on Thursday, January 19. The night will kick off with JV matches at 6:00 PM and then a tribute to seniors and their parents/guardians at 7:30 PM, followed by the varsity matches. Parents/guardians of our seniors should please plan to be at there by 7:15 PM for instructions. In addition, we'll have a special presentation for several wrestlers, past and present, who have achieved over 100 varsity wins. BOYS JV / EXTRA -Riverton High School Location: Riverton High School is located at 12476 S 2700 W, Riverton, UT 84065 - about a 10 minute drive from the Varsity Tournament at Real Salt Lake Academy. Friday Times: We will weigh in from 1-2pm by school. Please do not arrive before 12:30 as school will be in session. We will begin wrestling at 3:00. Weigh-Ins will be done in the Main Gym. If any teams can bring scales to help with weigh-ins that would be greatly appreciated. Saturday Times: We will weigh in from 7-8am and begin wrestling at 9am. There will be a two pound allowance both days (plus the two pound growth allowance). Facilities: Please enter through the North East athletic doors by the RHS letters, turn right as soon as you enter and the Main Gym will be on your right hand side. We will wrestle on six mats in the Main Gym. On Friday the Aux Gym will be used as extra space for teams to sit. We will not have access to the Aux Gym until 1:30pm, please keep your wrestlers out of the Aux Gym until that time. On Saturday we will not have access to the Aux Gym at all. The cafeteria will be used as extra space on Saturday. Please do not allow wrestlers beyond the cafeteria into the rest of the school. Coaches will be given a ticket voucher to get one meal from the concession stand each day. Table Help: Our table help will be wrestling parents and wrestlers not competing. Please be patient with them as many of them will be using Track for the first time. If anyone has experienced table help they would like to provide we would appreciate it. We would be able to provide a discount on team entrance fees as an incentive Admission Fee: We will be charging admission of $5 per day, fans will also enter through the North East doors. We can take cash or card. Awards: Top 6 wrestlers in each weight class will get medals Schedule: This is the timeframe we are hoping to follow, we may push round 6 to Saturday morning if things go long on Friday. All consolation matches will be 90 second periods. We will be abiding by the 5 match limit rule and 45 minute wait time rule. Everything will be on trackwrestling. The brightest stars from across the state will toe the line at the UCCU Center on the Campus of UVU and the Warriors are sending not one, but two all stars to shine; Brenden Smith and Vince Threlfall. In the past it has been a badge of honor to earn an "undefeated" t-shirt from two days of solid wrestling. T-shirt or otherwise, getting out of this tournament unscathed is truly an accomplishment.

The bus will drop off the boys and then go to Canyon View to drop off the girls. 8:00 AM - Weigh-ins 9:30 AM - Wrestling begins Girls will be grouped into pools of 5 or 6 according to actual weight and will wrestle a round robin tournament.
