Coach Lang's Notes from UVU Wrestling Camp 2018 - Session 8 with Erkin Tadzhimetov - 2-on-1 Series
(These notes will make more sense if you watch the video first, or were actually at the camp)
Thursday June 14, 2018 1:30-4:30pm
Warm up with jogging, tumbling, dynamic stretching, etc...
Get the 2-on-1, good head position, no space, high on shoulder, move him. Keep weight high on his shoulder and get heavy on it. Keep your elbows pinched at your sides.
2-on-1 to Snatch
Pressure in then pull to make him step as you get heavy on the 2-on-1. When he reacts by pulling up and away, step behind near leg, drive his wrist across the front of his leg, secure his leg with a tight lock, everything tight and good head pressure. Finish your takedown.
*When you attack the leg, you do not have to lower your level and shoot. Just step in and lock up.
-If he posts on your head and keeps his near leg away (Don't go for this immediately, continue pressuring and pulling to try for Snatch). Post up on his post hand for a Far Side High C. You will need to penetrat on the shot.
*This works with a Far Side Sweep/Swing Single as well as a Far Side Double..
Secure the 2-on-1, pressure in, control the arm, step on near foot, pull and shuck/throw-by for the easy takedown.
2-on-1 to Fireman's Carry
Pressure in, he keeps near leg back and away. Pull, then step forward with outside foot, keep 2-on-1 high, clear under it as you drop to outside leg knee (or both knees), keep back upright and extended, finish the Fireman's Carry.
*Don't keep hanging onto his leg after the toss. Once he clears over the top, release his leg and let your head clear. Keep arm and cover your head and free arm over his chest to keep him on his back.
Now chain it all together. Each guy hit each of these moves for 1 minute.
