After a full week of wresting, we're back in the Jungle for an all-out brawl with our friends from Enterprise. They always bring a high level of small-town toughness with them. This is a BIG week of wrestling with a Region 10 dual vs. Cedar High, the Ross Brunson All Star Duals (Congratulations Vince and Brenden!) and the Rockwell Rumble this weekend, we've got a lot going on. BOYS JV / EXTRA -Riverton High School Location: Riverton High School is located at 12476 S 2700 W, Riverton, UT 84065 - about a 10 minute drive from the Varsity Tournament at Real Salt Lake Academy. Friday Times: We will weigh in from 1-2pm by school. Please do not arrive before 12:30 as school will be in session. We will begin wrestling at 3:00. Weigh-Ins will be done in the Main Gym. If any teams can bring scales to help with weigh-ins that would be greatly appreciated. Saturday Times: We will weigh in from 7-8am and begin wrestling at 9am. There will be a two pound allowance both days (plus the two pound growth allowance). Facilities: Please enter through the North East athletic doors by the RHS letters, turn right as soon as you enter and the Main Gym will be on your right hand side. We will wrestle on six mats in the Main Gym. On Friday the Aux Gym will be used as extra space for teams to sit. We will not have access to the Aux Gym until 1:30pm, please keep your wrestlers out of the Aux Gym until that time. On Saturday we will not have access to the Aux Gym at all. The cafeteria will be used as extra space on Saturday. Please do not allow wrestlers beyond the cafeteria into the rest of the school. Coaches will be given a ticket voucher to get one meal from the concession stand each day. Table Help: Our table help will be wrestling parents and wrestlers not competing. Please be patient with them as many of them will be using Track for the first time. If anyone has experienced table help they would like to provide we would appreciate it. We would be able to provide a discount on team entrance fees as an incentive Admission Fee: We will be charging admission of $5 per day, fans will also enter through the North East doors. We can take cash or card. In the past it has been a badge of honor to earn an "undefeated" t-shirt from two days of solid wrestling. T-shirt or otherwise, getting out of this tournament unscathed is truly an accomplishment.

In addition to taking 2nd, Snow Canyon Boys Varsity had the 3rd Most Pins in the Least Amount of Time! Snow Canyon Boys Varsity had the 2nd highest Total Match Points (307)! Out of the 297 individual wrestlers competing over the weekend in the varsity tournament, Beau Miller ranked 16th for Most Pins in Least Amount of Time with 3 in 6:45! Kaden Guymon was right behind him at 17, and Brooks Esplin at 20! Teams from multiple neighboring states, along with Utah power-house programs make the trek to St. George to compete. It's a traditional, double-elimination, format and it's a BATTLE to make it to the medal's stand. We anticipate you'll see some Green and Gold there when the dust settles.

Friday, December 16 7:30 AM - (DO NOTE BE LATE) Home weigh-in (Scratch +2 pounds - 108, 115, etc.) in the Snow Canyon Wrestling Room (please arrive 5-10 minutes early). Only wrestlers that are competing Friday and Saturday need to show up early for weigh-ins (injured wrestlers no, Girls team no, etc.) 12:30 PM - (DO NOT BE LATE) Arrive at the Snow Canyon wrestling room to check-in and begin our team warm-up. We will warm up as a team in our own wrestling room BEFORE riding the bus to Dixie High. 1:30 PM - Bus Leaves for Dixie High School. 2:00 PM - Wrestling Begins (or as close to 2PM as possible for teams that are late because of transportation issues). They have a target end time on Friday of 10:00 PM, but it could go even later depending on various factors. (Some will remember when the automatic timer turned of the gym lights and matches were wrestled under the glow of a few hundreds cell phone lights.)
